EPIC AUSSIE OUTBACK ADVENTURES

G'day Rock Hounds!

The RockHounds

Martin

Martin is a third generation gemstone prospector and craftsman who’s carrying on the family legacy of respectfully recovering the Australian landscape’s most beautiful gems and minerals. His passion for the landscape, deep knowledge of the geology, and ability to turn his hand to anything that needs fixing, has made him a legendary figure in the global rock hound community and one of the last true prospecting bushman with a heart of gold.

Mick

Mick, Martin’s cousin and right-hand man. They’ve grown up together in the bush and have an almost mystical ability to communicate without saying a word. Mick is the wizard of the big toys, with a sixth sense for manoeuvring the mightiest machines in the most challenging outback situations.

Mama Sox

Mama Sox, Martin’s mother, is an integral part of the Rock Hounds crew and has been the real boss behind the scenes over her lifetime supporting family expeditions. She’s not only the friendly face of the family gem business, but also captain of the kitchen at Aussie Rock Hounds HQ.

PartnerWith Us

Telling the Aussie Rock Hounds story and sharing the beauty of the Australian Outback is a big job, so we’re always happy to chat with like-minded people who want to join us in telling it. Our aim is to inspire as many people as we can with stories of the Australian spirit, our majestic landscape and its people, and the vanishing skills of prospecting in the unforgiving, yet unforgettable Australian Outback.
If you’re an organisation also looking to inspire your communities and audiences with similar stories, we’d love to sit down over a ‘cuppa’ and understand how we might be able to work together to bring the endless stories of this great country and its people to life.
Currently, we’re looking for funding, equipment, and crew support to capture future expeditions in the deep Outback. To chat to Martin and the team about opportunities to work together contact us today.
